Environmental Testing

Environmental simulation is used to determine a product's ability to perform during or after exposure to a specific environment. These tests are used to prove a product's integrity, verify manufacturer's claims regarding operational limits, determine realistic warranty terms, and prepare procedures on proper and safe operation.

Many components and products are in general use, as well as highly portable. Therefore, an item may encounter a variety of different environments in its expected lifetime. Simulations of high temperatures and high humidity’s may be alternated with cold and dry atmospheres. A product may be exposed to oily, dusty conditions, or intense sunshine. Operation may be required in an explosive atmosphere or at high altitude, up to and including space station altitudes and conditions. Many other conditions and combinations can be created depending on the expected use of the product. Consider some of the conditions listed to the right for your test program.

APT's Climatic test facilities offer precise simulation of temperature, humidity, altitude, thermal, vacuum, salt fog, sand and dust, and rain as well as many other specialized environments. Microprocessor Control, along with calibrated recorded measurements and outstanding attention to detail by our technical staff make for perfect, repeatable testing - everytime.

For temperature cycling tests with fast change rates, as well as thermal shock chambers. We also offer special AGREE chambers that can be integrated with either mechanical or electro-dynamic vibration systems to meet the special requirements of Mil-Std 781C and Mil-Std 810D.

Our staff will do everything possible to help you with your testing needs.

Note: Chambers can be modified to meet special test requirements.
